Hebrews 13:17 "Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you."

ELDERS

Titus 1:6-9 "An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it."

1 Peter 5:1-4 "To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away."

PASTORS

1 Timothy 5:17 "Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching."

1 Timothy 3:1-7 "Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap."

TYLER TURDICI

Tyler has a passion is to see the church live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He desires to teach what it means to be a disciple of Christ and a thriving member of his body, the Church. Tyler is Married and has two children and has been the Associate Pastor at the Oasis since 2014. DEACONS

1 Timothy 3:8-12 "In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well."

In 2008 the Oasis started as a Bible study for the community. As we grew we moved to a storefront on the river. God kept growing our church in number and in depth and transitioned us from a bible study into a church. God moved us from the storefront to our current location on Lincoln Ave. God gave us trials and blessing as soon as we took that step in obedience but our local body of Chris has grown and developed from where we were almost ten years ago. Our church is full of people from all different backgrounds who seek refuge at the cross of Christ and desire to inspire the community around us to hear and believe the Gospel. We praise God for our calling and we Praise Him for our ministries. Glory be to God!

We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, and thus the 66 books of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God...

We teach that there is but one living and true God...

We teach that God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace...

We teach that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, possesses all the divine excellencies, and in these He is coequal, consubstantial, and coeternal with the Father...

We teach that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, eternal, underived, possessing all the attributes of personality and deity, including intellect, emotions, will, eternality, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, and truthfulness...

We teach that man was directly and immediately created by God in His image and likeness. Man was created free of sin with a rational nature, intelligence, volition, self-determination, and moral responsibility to God...

We teach that salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not on the basis of human merit or work...

We teach that election is the act of God by which, before the foundation of the world, He chose in Christ those whom He graciously regenerates, saves, and sanctifies...

We teach that regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which the divine nature and divine life are given...

We teach that justification before God is an act of God by which He declares righteous those who, through faith in Christ, repent of their sins and confess Him as sovereign Lord...

We teach that every believer is sanctified (set apart) unto God by justification and is therefore declared to be holy and is therefore identified as a saint...

We teach that all the redeemed once saved are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever...

We teach that separation from sin is clearly called for throughout the Old and New Testaments, and that the Scriptures clearly indicate that in the last days apostasy and worldliness shall increase...

We teach that all who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual body, the church (1 Co 12:12, 13), the bride of Christ...

The mission of the Oasis Church is to glorify God by winning people in the Fox Valley to Christ; baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and equipping and sending them to live out all that His Word commands.

VISION

The vision the Oasis Church is to glorify God by fulfilling Christ's Great Commission to His disciples, which is, (as you) go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (Matt. 28:19-20).
